What is Usul app?
Usul is an Islamic daily companion app with accurate prayer times, Qibla direction, prayer tracking, fasting tracking, Dhikr counters, and Quran reading in one place.
How does Usul calculate prayer times accurately?
Usul calculates prayer times using your selected calculation method, madhab, location, and optional manual adjustments.
Why are Usul prayer times different from another app or mosque timetable?
Small differences can happen due to method, madhab, high-latitude rules, and local offsets. Match these settings to align times.
Can I change prayer calculation method and madhab in Usul?
Yes. You can change both in Settings and also apply minute-level adjustments for each prayer.
Can I track daily prayers in Usul?
Yes. You can check and uncheck prayers from the prayer screen and tracker timeline.
Can I mark future prayers as completed in tracker?
No. Usul only allows marking current and past prayers. Future prayer checks are blocked and cleaned automatically.
Does Usul support Qibla direction?
Yes. Usul uses device sensors and location to show Qibla direction.
Qibla seems inaccurate. How do I fix it?
Recalibrate your phone compass (figure-8 motion), allow location permission, and move away from magnetic interference.
Does Usul include Quran reading with translation and transliteration?
Yes. You can read ayah by ayah, show/hide translation, and show/hide transliteration.
Are Quran translation and transliteration downloaded every time?
No. Once downloaded, they are cached locally and reused unless app data is deleted.
Can I bookmark specific ayah in Quran?
Yes. Bookmarks are ayah-based. Tap again to remove a bookmark.
Does Usul support fasting and Dhikr tracking?
Yes. You can track fasting days and Dhikr progress with summaries.
Can I customise prayer notifications and adhan?
Yes. You can set notification mode per prayer and choose available adhan sounds.
Can I back up and restore my Usul data?
Yes. You can export and import backups from Settings.
What data is included in backup?
Backup includes local app data such as prayer checks, fasting tracking, Dhikr history, and key app settings.
