HomeFAQs

How are prayer times calculated?

Usul supports multiple calculation methods and lets you fine-tune adjustments so your local masjid schedule can be matched closely.

Does Usul collect my location?

Location stays on your device. We use it only to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction.

Why do times look different from other apps?

Apps use different calculation methods, elevations, and adjustment rules. Check your method and offsets in settings.

Does Usul send notifications?

Yes. You can enable reminders for each prayer and customise tone, volume, and lead time. Lock screen widgets and complications can keep the next prayer visible at a glance.

Is there a widget?

Yes. Usul includes home and lock screen widgets for quick access to upcoming prayer times.

Does Usul support Apple Watch?

Yes. The Apple Watch app includes complications for quick prayer-time access and next-up reminders. You can mark prayers complete on the watch, view Qibla, and everything syncs automatically with your phone.

Will there be more features?

We’re actively developing and prioritizing features based on community feedback.

Does Usul work offline?

Core features work offline after initial setup, but location-based updates require connectivity.

How can I support the app?

You can donate on the Support page and share feedback to help guide future updates.
